ASANAGI

朝凪 (Japanese) – morning calm

Inspired by the Japanese original seikai-ha patterning just like its cousin, Aranami Shawl, the patterning in Asanagi is slightly different. Juxtaposing two different textures with each motif the design is created using a modular technique without breaking of the yarn while each tier is being built upon motif after motif. Extremely easy to customize this wrap can be turned into anything from a cowl to a blanket and vary in width and length to suit your utmost needs. Using the original weight yarn or one of your own choosing simply remember to select the correct needle size and make your Asanagi grow to the dimensions you prefer. Add or subtract colors simply by working more or fewer tiers, this project will definitely keep you well entertained throughout the process.
